Hi! I am Yunyao Li and I go by Vanessa. I am the founder and the lead teacher of Nomi Art Studio.

I was born in a small city from Hunan province in China. In 2016, I was admitted to UC Davis to study biology.

However, I found my passion in art and changed my major to design when I was a sophomore. After my bachelor's degree was rewarded, I attended Academy of Art University for my master’s degree in visual development. Currently my MA degree is granted and I am still pursuing my MFA degree.

When I was in elementary school, I loved doodling on the textbook, like putting the mustache to the ancient people pictures on the book, adding weird costumes to them, etc.
